ICDR Young & International (Y&I) is a global network dedicated to connecting, supporting, and engaging the next generation of international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) practitioners, professionals, and users.
Sponsored by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR), the international division of the American Arbitration Association® (AAA®), ICDR Y&I provides a platform for professional development, knowledge sharing, and meaningful engagement within the international dispute resolution community.
Operating globally and regionally, ICDR Y&I brings together emerging professionals from a wide range of jurisdictions, legal traditions, and professional backgrounds. Through educational programs, conferences, webinars, networking opportunities, and collaboration with organizations worldwide, ICDR Y&I promotes international arbitration and mediation, fosters professional relationships, and encourages dialogue on developments shaping the future of dispute resolution.
The ICDR Y&I Global Board is a strategic network of emerging leaders from around the world who work closely with the ICDR to strengthen its global engagement with the next generation of international dispute resolution practitioners and users.
The Global Board supports the ICDR's mission by promoting international arbitration and mediation and raising awareness of ICDR services.
Working in collaboration with the ICDR, Global Board members also contribute ideas and regional perspectives to support educational programs, professional development opportunities, institutional initiatives, and thought leadership activities.
The Global Board's principal objectives include:
- Organizing and participating in webinars and thought leadership programs
- Representing the ICDR at conferences and panels where institutional attendance may not otherwise be possible
- Promoting the ICDR’s international arbitration services in key markets
- Supporting strategic outreach initiatives in coordination with ICDR leadership
Global Board members serve on a voluntary basis for a three-year term. Appointments and composition of the Global Board are determined by the ICDR.
