ICDR® Young & International (Y&I) is the networking group for arbitration and other ADR practitioners under 40 sponsored by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR), the international division of the American Arbitration Association® (AAA®). ICDR Y&I provides networking opportunities in the areas of commercial and public interest arbitration, as well as alternative dispute resolution.
ICDR Y&I operates both on a global and a regional basis. It cooperates with other international or regional organizations in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. ICDR Y&I Associates are offered the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with their peers all over the world, and to benefit from the experience of more senior practitioners in seminars and conferences.
This year concludes the current ICDR Y&I Global Advisory Board and Executive Board three-year term. We are extremely thankful to all of our current board members for all their work and dedication to ICDR Y&I!
The ICDR has decided to combine the Executive and Global Advisory Boards to create one ICDR Y&I Board starting in 2023. The ICDR is now accepting applications to join the ICDR Y&I Board. If you are interested in being considered for the ICDR Y&I Board, please send your curriculum vitae and a short statement of interest (no more than 1 page) detailing (1) your vision of how to ensure the continued growth of ICDR Y&I, and (2) a specific program or initiative you are willing to organize as an ICDR Y&I Board member. Y&I Board members serve for a three-year term and are eligible to serve a second three-year term. All applications should be sent directly to Rafael Carmona at ICDRYIElection@adr.org, to be received by December 16, 2022.
We are committed to promoting diversity in international arbitration, so we strongly encourage diverse candidates to apply. Successful candidates for the ICDR Y&I Board will reflect the diversity of the ICDR Y&I membership.
All decisions of the ICDR on Board membership are final.
